Energetiq Technology has introduced the EQ-400 high-power, ultra-bright laser-driven light source (LDLS). It has a compact lamp house, a 170–2100 nm wavelength range and a choice of source dual-beam output or a single-beam output with retro-reflector. Features include spectral radiance greater than 100 mW mm–2.sr.nm from 100 µm aperture; spectral power >10 mW nm–1 from a 500 µm aperture; noise better than 0.2%; and a small plasma, 300 µm × 800 µm FWHM.
