Pike Technologies has introduced the AutoATR, and automated ATR accessory that uses a microtiter plate platform and a new ATR crystal design to enable 24 unique measurements to be made in one run. The new single-reflection ATR crystal is made from 500 µm-thick silicon functionalised with multiple prisms, which couples light into the crystal. Spectra are comparable to single reflection ZnSe or diamond ATR spectra. The AutoATR mounts in FT-IR spectrometer compartments and has a fully enclosed, purgeable design with a front-loading tray.
